Umbria Region – PNRR – M2C1 – Investment 2.3 – Modernisation of olive oil mills

Italyheart Srl has submitted an application under the NRRP (Umbria Region – NRRP – M2C1 – Investment 2.3 – Modernisation of Olive Mills), with an investment plan concerning the replacement, within the high-quality production line, of a decanter without a vertical separator with a decanter coupled with a vertical separator. Specifically, the decanter being replaced is the Mori-Tem Cultivar 1000 model, which will be replaced by a Mori-Tem DTM 15 model coupled with a Pieralisi Marte vertical separator.

The entire high-quality line has been transferred to the main operating site in Amelia, in premises cadastrally identified as sheet 73, parcel 58, sub 2.

The total investment plan amounts to €209,056.80, with a contribution envisaged under the call for proposals equal to €135,886.92.

In particular, replacing the decanter without a vertical separator (Mori-Tem Cultivar 1000 model) with a decanter coupled with a vertical separator (Mori-Tem DTM 15 + Pieralisi Marte vertical separator) will make it possible to produce oil containing lower quantities of vegetation water, solid residues and mucilaginous substances. In this regard, in addition to the aspects linked to the intrinsic quality of the product, it should be emphasized that it is reasonable to expect, downstream of extraction, a reduction in filtration times and consequently a lower amount of filtering material requiring disposal.

It is clear that the principles relating to DNSH, which are particularly important for the purposes of the NRRP call, are complied with, especially with regard to:

– Improvement of the product’s oxidative stability and shelf life;

– Reduction of waste products deriving from the filtration process (filter sheets).
